  1. Make a glaze

Did you know that tomato sauce tastes amazing when used in a glaze? There are many different ways to make a glaze, but this Japanese-inspired glaze tastes incredible!

What you will need:

  • Dry sherry x 2 teaspoons
  • Gluten-free tomato sauce x ¼ cup
  • Lemon juice (fresh) x 1 tablespoon
  • Japanese sesame oil x ½ teaspoon
  • Organic soy sauce x 2 tablespoons

How to make it:

Simply grab a small bowl and add in the organic soy sauce, gluten-free tomato sauce, dry sherry, Japanese sesame oil and fresh lemon juice. With a fork, stir the ingredients together until it forms a smooth texture and is completely combined. The glaze is now done – it’s that easy!

You can brush this glaze over ingredients when frying such as salmon, mushrooms and tofu to create a sticky glaze that completely coats the food and tastes incredibly delicious!

  1. Make a salad dressing

There are a variety of salad dressings that use tomato sauce such as Thousand Island dressing and Russian dressing. However, if you enjoy a bit of a spicy kick to your food, then here is a Russian dressing recipe you have to try!

What you will need:

  • Gluten-free tomato sauce x ¼ cup
  • Hot sauce x 1 teaspoon
  • Salt x a pinch
  • Mayonnaise x 1 cup
  • Worcestershire sauce x 1 teaspoon
  • Small white onion (finely diced) x 1 tablespoon

How to make it:

Grab a mortar and pestle or a blender and mash/combine the onion into a paste. Alternatively, depending on your knife skills, you can very finely dice the onion until it resembles a paste-like texture.

Pour the onion paste into a small bowl and add in the sweet paprika, horseradish, mayonnaise, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt and gluten-free tomato sauce. Give it a good whisk until all the ingredients have completely combined together. You can also store it in the fridge for up to two weeks in an airtight container.
