Overall
The Precise V5 pen are ideal for doodling, offering smooth ink flow that doesn’t splotch on cheaper papers and writing well. Unfortunately, I find them less suitable than Pilot V7 or Bic Blue in terms of work-appropriateness; although they work on many kinds of papers they may present difficulties when used over non photo blue lead (or graphite) which creates resistance with its ink flow and may clog the pen, making them unsuitable for inking over pencil sketches or using water based markers.
No matter its flaws, I really enjoyed how this pen felt in my hand and believe it would fit both large and small hands equally well. It’s lightweight with an ideal balance between its unposted and posted states; posting deep enough that it doesn’t slip out accidentally; the grip section lacks rubber or cushioned surfaces for optimal gripping; nevertheless it still worked great.
Hi-Tecpoint ink is pure liquid that produces bright, vibrant hues with long-term wear. The ink view window allows you to monitor remaining ink levels; unfortunately it is not Copic-proof as applying Copic ink to dry drawings causes immediate smearing of ink.
